NH Junior Freeze forward Juho Kauppinen will be making his third trip from homeland Finland to the US in July to prepare for the 2008/2009 season. Kauppinen has been with the Junior Freeze since its 2006/2007 inaugural season and has signed on for his third tour of duty with the Freeze. "Juho has improved each season and has contributed nicely to our offense" states head coach Dick Arpin. "We have brought in some high caliber players this season that will compliment our returning squad and Juho is a big part of that" adds Arpin. Kauppinen tallied 21 points in 43 games for the Freeze last season and is expected to trump those numbers this year. Juho has been selected to the IJHL All-Stars in each of his first two seasons.
The NH Junior Freeze will be playing in the Northern Cyclones (AJHL) tournament being held July 17-20 in Hudson, NH. The team's tournament schedule is available on their home page (click here).
